A waterproof Y-front harness for dogs, made by hand in my workshop in Latvia. Built for active dogs — the ones that run, swim, crawl through undergrowth and come home looking like they've been in a mud bath. Every strap adjusts, the chest section is wide, and after a walk you just rinse the harness under the tap.
📏 Anatomically correct shape (Y/H type)
This is the part I'm proudest of. The harness doesn't restrict shoulder movement and doesn't rub behind the front legs, so your dog can run at full speed.
I've widened the chest strap in every size, not just the big ones. Two reasons: the load spreads across a larger area, and the harness doesn't twist around the body. If you've ever had to stop mid-walk to pull a harness back into place, you know exactly what I mean.
🌧️ A material that handles Northern European weather
The harness is completely waterproof. Your dog can swim in a lake or roll around in wet grass — there's nothing to dry out, nothing to put in the washing machine, nothing draped over the radiator. The material doesn't absorb water, which is why it never starts to smell. Fabric and neoprene harnesses stink after six months no matter how often you wash them. These don't.
Care is one movement: rinse under the tap, or wipe it with a cloth. In hard winter frost the material stays flexible and doesn't crack.
I use PawTex — a patented material with a manufacturer's quality guarantee. There's plenty of cheap webbing out there that looks exactly the same and turns tacky, cracks or peels within a few months. I've seen enough of it to know this isn't the place to save money.
🛡️ Waterproof padding on the back and chest
I add padding where the harness sits closest to the body. And it's just as waterproof as everything else. Ordinary felt or neoprene padding soaks up water, stays damp, and that's exactly the spot that starts to smell first — which is why it's no good to me.
🔒 Putting it on without a fight
A lot of dogs — especially sensitive ones, or dogs with big ears — hate having something pulled over their head. So there's a buckle at the neck. Getting it on is as calm as putting on a collar: no holding them still, no coaxing.
✂️ Nothing you don't need
This harness has no handle, and that's deliberate. An active dog pushes through undergrowth, goes under fences and roughhouses with other dogs — a handle is exactly the thing that catches on something and causes an injury. If you need to hold your dog back, the back section gives you a good grip.
The same principle applies everywhere else: wherever I could, I've replaced metal fittings with stitching. That's why the harness is light and your dog barely notices it. But where metal is genuinely needed — the ring and the rivets — it's stainless steel. It doesn't rust, doesn't stain the coat, and lasts considerably longer.

I cut, sew and assemble every single harness myself. This isn't a production-line product from the other side of the world — if something isn't right, there's a specific person you can talk to.

Return terms
Deadline — the return must be made within 14 days of receiving the item. The item must be unused and clean.
How to make a return?
First, fill out the return form in your profile (it's created automatically once you place an order) or send an email to ivars@obidog.lv, stating your order number and the reason for the return.
There are two ways to return an item. The first — send it to the Domina parcel locker (Omniva or DPD), giving 29460199 as the recipient's phone number. The second — bring it to our workshop in person, contacting us beforehand by phone at 29460199 to arrange a specific time. Return and delivery costs are covered by the customer, except in warranty cases.
Important: customized items
Returns are not available for items made specially to your order — for example, with custom sizes, embroidered names or unique color combinations.
Defect or warranty
If an item is returned due to a manufacturing defect or damage, we cover the delivery costs. In such cases, please include a description of the problem and photos.
