Quiet. But visible when it matters.

Black is a choice that needs no explanation. The black rope dog leash fits city streets and forest trails alike — understated, but with character. It's the choice for someone who cares about the gear, not how it looks.

Chosen for a reason. Made to last.

Rope is one of the oldest and most reliable forms ever invented. We haven't changed it — we've improved it.

The rope dog leash is made from 100% recycled rPET rope — a material born from post-consumer plastic bottles. This isn't greenwashing. rPET is a practical choice: the rope doesn't rot, doesn't absorb moisture the way ordinary nylon does, and resists wear for years. It's a leash you don't replace every season.

Why you'll love this leash

Strength that speaks for itself: Rope is inherently stronger than flat webbing — the round cross-section distributes load evenly. When your dog pulls, the force is absorbed gradually, rather than transferred directly to your hands or your dog's neck.

Doesn't hold moisture: rPET rope dries quickly and doesn't retain odours. A rainy walk or a swim in the river — the leash stays a leash.

Biothane handle: Soft, waterproof, and comfortable in your hand — even when everything else is wet.

Built for real life: The carabiner is AISI 304 stainless steel — the same material class used in medical instruments and food-grade equipment. It doesn't rust, doesn't discolour, doesn't lose its finish. Sewn in, not riveted — because rivets are metal, and metal corrodes. When the rope, the handle, and the carabiner are all made with the same care, the result is gear you don't have to think about.

Carabiner

Carabiner made of stainless steel (AISI 304)

AISI 304 stainless steel doesn't rust, doesn't discolour, and holds up against rain, sea salt, and daily wear. It's the same material class used in medical instruments and food-grade equipment — chosen simply because it lasts.

For small dogs (up to 25 kg), the carabiner is compact — 48 mm and just 19 g, so the leash feels light in your hand and on your dog. Breaking strength of 250 kg — far more than you'll ever need.

For large dogs (from 20 kg), the carabiner measures 66 mm and weighs 54 g. Breaking strength of 500 kg — even for those who put everything they've got into the leash.

What is rPET?

rPET stands for recycled polyethylene terephthalate — the same material used to make plastic bottles. When a bottle enters the recycling process, it is shredded, melted down, and turned into fibres. Those fibres are then spun into rope.

This isn't a marketing story. Producing rPET requires significantly less energy than manufacturing new synthetic material, and every leash represents several plastic bottles that haven't ended up in a landfill or the ocean.

But that's not the only reason we chose it.

rPET rope is more resistant to abrasion than ordinary nylon. It doesn't absorb moisture as quickly, dries faster, and doesn't hold odours after a wet walk or a swim. It's a material that holds its shape over time and doesn't end up on a shelf because you've bought a new one.

For small dogs we use 6 mm rope — light, but more than strong enough. For large dogs, 10 mm — substantial in the hand and at the dog's end.

Sustainability and quality, for once, go in the same direction.

Care

The good news — rPET is one of the easiest leash materials to look after. It absorbs almost no moisture, which means it dries much faster than nylon or cotton rope, and it's resistant to mould and rot.

Washing: The simplest method — wash by hand in lukewarm water with a small amount of mild dish soap. You can also machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle, but always place the leash in a pillowcase or a zip-lock bag first to prevent it from wrapping around the machine's drum. Important — avoid bleach and harsh detergents. Research shows that polyester rope washed repeatedly with standard laundry powder can lose a significant portion of its strength over time. A mild detergent isn't just a recommendation — it extends the life of your leash.

Drying: Hang to dry at room temperature. Not in a tumble dryer, not on a radiator.

Storage: Store in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. rPET has better UV resistance than many other synthetic materials, but prolonged sun exposure isn't kind to any rope.
